Mt. Mama

After all the issues with the WiFi and laptop and you enjoy the nice steak dinner that hubby was kind of to cook up for you...
You settle in for some R & R with the puter and some C.B. chat with some friends. Your friend comments "Gosh Mts., your radio sounds better than I've heard it in a long time. What'd you do different to make it sound so good?" So I proceeded to inform him that I had done nothing different. The other half though had made a trip to Redding Costco to trade in our old deep cycle batteries (which we power all things electrical in the house with) for new ones.
That's when the other half yells acoss the house to me..."Yeah, and do you want to know how that went? I'll tell you how that went"...as he walked over next to me. "You know how they've (Costco) always based value on return batteries as a percent off per quarter year over the first year of use?" I respond, "yes, that's the way they've always done." He says, "Not any more...If I had returned them a month ago, they would've given me full value. But since the return batteries were 13 months old, they would only credit me with 40% of the value. And on top of that, they raised the prices from $60.00 to $84.00 each! Dang it!
